Week 2 – I do All Things

Here are some quotes that stick out to me as I read this weeks Bible study, it is that God gets more glory out of me being a success then me being a failure. How true is that? Have you ever heard that before? Isn’t it great that when you read something and becomes so real to you? You need to take yourself seriously because God does. Stop waiting to be at acknowledged by someone else and except that You are already acknowledged by the one who matters most. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to you. This is a promise that was made to us and Matthew 28 verse 16 through 20.

In failure versus Faith, we learned that God responses to our faith and not just our failures, he’s not afraid of our failures or even that the last failure will affect his ultimate plan over you. There’s a quote in this chapter that says, “he knew what he was getting when he got you.” God has never been disillusioned with you because he’s never had any illusions about you. Think about that. We all know now that our failures are either going to make you or break you, but either way they’re coming.

You can always pick your sin but you never get to pick your consequence.

Do you have failures in your life that define you? Are you living half a life or settling for second-best? Let me remind you that the cross has done its work and you’ve been set free, even if you have consequences you’re living with, it’s not the end of your story. In God versus devil we are reminded that he is a liar and a thief see John 10 verse 10. You’re not working for victory you’re working from victory. You’re not working for love you’re living as someone who is loved. Romans 8 verse 11 says the same power that raised Christ from the dead is now living within us, death could not hold him and neither can it hold us! Don’t get comfortable in this world , we live in it…. but we’re not of it.

How you choose to live is your biggest decision. You can live powerless or powerful, fearful, or faith filled. The weapon of fear, the enemy has many weapons which uses to keep us from believing we are powerful. We can do hard things when we believe no weapon formed against us will prosper. We are not bound by what the world says about us only by what God says! Fear goes after you, you can’t allow it to immobilize you, so stop running, turn around and charge back! I know trusting in God isn’t as easy as it is sad but true trust is believing Gods intentions toward you are always good. Pray for clarity.

It’s important to know the word and that the word knows us. There is a man between the pages.

God knows what he wants, when he wants it, and how he’s going to do it.

Love,

Jess
